In England, where Audrey grew up, they call it Boxing Day. People do not go around hitting each other with boxing gloves! Wikipedia says that in the old days servants of the rich got to take a day off on the day after Christmas off to visit their families since they had to work helping their masters on Christmas Day. The masters gave them boxes to take home containing gifts, money and food. Today there are not as many servants in England. Everyone gets to take a day off. Most people spend it shopping for bargains. It has become like the shopping sprees on Black Friday in the United States.
